• INITIAL TEACHER CERTIFICATION
  For applicants who are applying for teacher certification in Alaska for the first time, or for those who held previous Alaska certification which has been expired longer than one year. All new applicants must apply for the Initial Tier I certificate.

• PROFESSIONAL TEACHER CERTIFICATION
  For applicants who have held Initial certification and have met the requirements for the Professional certificate.

• MASTER TEACHER CERTIFICATION
  For applicants who have held Initial Tier I or Professional Tier II certification and have met the requirements for the Master Tier III certificate.
