Alaska's Gold Lode is a virtual archives/library consisting of documents and materials associated with the Klondike and Alaska gold rushes selected from the Alaska State Library's Alaska Historical Collections, the Alaska State Archives, and the Alaska State Museum. Alaska's Gold Lode provides more than 3500 documents relating to the themes explored in the teacher and student study sections of Alaska's Gold Themes.

A gold rush researcher may query the Lode's database to create a varying list of document images. There are four ways to use the query screen: Simple Search, Advanced Search, Browse By Collection and Browse By Author.

The Help Section provides detailed information how to search for the Lode's documents. As with the material in the Alaska's Gold Themes, researchers should be familiar with possible copyright issues associated with some of the material provided in Alaska's Gold Lode.
