Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) are an important component of local career and technical education in Alaska.

Each organization provides:

  • Standards-based education
  • Leadership and professional development
  • Job and career-related training
  • Employability skills
  • Citizenship and communication skills
  • Opportunities to set and achieve goals

Alaska has state and local chapters of Business Professionals of America (BPA); DECA, An Association of Marketing Students; Family, Career, and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA); Agricultural Education (FFA); SkillsUSA ;and HOSA (Health Occupations Student Association).
