Scientific LivingSpace Man

Welcome to a new idea

These short digital movies on space exploration will capture your students' interest without sidetracking your lesson plan. Each is less than two minutes long, and includes related teacher materials.

The program is called Scientific Living and begins with a first installment about Space Science, produced with the collaboration of NASA scientists. It's innovative in several respects:

(1) It's underwritten "PBS-style" by Alyeska Pipeline at no cost to Alaska teachers or schools. If successful, it will continue with additional units on other topics.

(2) Teachers can show a movie to the whole class to start a discussion, or students can access the media by themselves using the “Students Click Here” button at the top left of this page.

(3) The media is loaded on our own servers. Does it download more quickly to your own computer?

Please tell us what you think! Try it with your students and then take a minute to complete the very short Feedback Form. We welcome your support in helping us evaluate the program.
